While you can visit the New Spirituality Network Web site without registering
or providing any personal information, you will need to register if you want to
subscribe to our daily e-mail service. The personal information requested is necessary
to process your order.
What does the Foundation use my personal information for?
The Foundation asks for your name, address, e-mail address and other personal
information when you create an account online simply to know who you are when
you become a subscriber. We use this information to process your subscriptions
and to let us communicate with you.
The Foundation may also use personal account information and data collected
through your personal identification to generate statistics and aggregate reports
for internal use. These statistics and aggregate reports will not contain any
information that could identify you personally and will not be shared with anybody
outside the Foundation.
How does the Foundation protect my personal information?
We have adopted physical and technological processes and procedures to keep
your personal information safe and secure. The personal information you provide
when you establish an account or place an order is secured using Secure Socket
Layers (“SSL”) encryption technology. We use this SSL technology to prevent such
information from being intercepted and read as it is transmitted over the Internet
to our own servers. Only when it reaches the New Spirituality Network servers
is your information decrypted and then stored on restricted-access computers
located at restricted-access sites.
Does the Foundation use “cookies”?
No. This means you’ll always need to sign in if you wish to enter the
Subscribers Only area.
Does the Foundation share the personal information it receives?
The Foundation does not sell subscriber information to anyone. It does contract
with Authorize.Net to act on our behalf to process credit card payments. This
payment-processing service receives only the information it needs to perform its
specific function and may not use such information for other purposes. It is
bound by contract to maintain the confidentiality and security of personal
information and is restricted from using such information in any other way.
We also do not share any Web site usage information with any other companies,
individuals or marketers, nor do we send promotional offers to any subscribers.
We do send renewal notices to subscribers when their subscriptions are about to
expire, and we may occasionally send other newsworthy e-mail messages to subscribers.
The only time we might disclose any information about an individual's account would be:
- To satisfy any law, regulation or government request
- If such disclosure was necessary or appropriate to the operation of this Web site
- To protect the rights or property of NewSpirituality.org and its users.
We will advise subscribers in advance if we ever decide to change our Privacy Policy,
but we have no plans to change it now or in the future.
